The boat, the service and the cruises are of the highest world standards- which is why people just keep coming back year after year!!

See all details below  of Pelagian's 2002/2003 "Voyage of Discovery" schedule.

About the Trip

The year 2002 aboard the luxury live-aboard M/Y Pelagian will herald a year of adventure in the underwater world. M/Y Pelagian will be undertaking a series of 2 & 3 week expeditions to remote atolls, islands and reef's. The voyage will begin in February 2002 from Palau and take us to Yap and Chuuk before heading South to explore Northern Papua New Guinea and the Bismark Sea. Here, Port's o' Call will include Kavieng, Wewak, Manus and Kimbe Bay. Winding on past New Britain to Rabaul, we then make our way towards the Solomon Islands. Following four spectacular trips of remote diving on varying routes between Gizo and Honiara, M/Y Pelagian will cruise back to Papua New Guinea, coming ashore at Alotau. After two trips from Alotau, including Milne Bay and beyond, the final leg will take us to Port Moresby via the Northern Coral Sea's "Eastern Fields".

A complete schedule of this 2002 Voyage of Discovery can be found below. If you have a particular interest in any of the described trips then please contact us for a detailed fact sheet including day to day itinerary, accommodation recommendations and day diving information.

More than just a practical base from which to access some of the world's best diving, Pelagian is a traditional motor yacht with a spacious and congenial layout. Onboard, in addition to lots of first-class diving, you will find great food and a friendly atmosphere that is relaxed yet professional.

With only twelve guests on a vessel of this size, and with between eight and ten crew, there is plenty of room to spread out and plenty of staff on hand to ensure that your holiday goes smoothly. Pelagian is air-conditioned throughout and offers en-suite accommodation (private bathrooms) for twelve guests in six cabins, ranging from our standard cabin up to the master stateroom.

Cabin #3 (Deluxe State Room)

The forward standard cabin (cabin #6) offers twin beds, a hanging closet and private bathroom. The mid-ship standard cabin (cabin #4) offers upper and lower bunks, a hanging closet and a private bathroom. The two mid-ship deluxe staterooms (cabins #3 & 5) are large staterooms with two double beds each. These staterooms have hanging closets, private bathrooms and plenty of room. The aft stateroom (cabin #2) is a comfortable, well-appointed deluxe stateroom with a double and a single bed, two hanging closets and a very nice private bathroom.

The master stateroom (cabin #1) offers extraordinarily spacious accommodation on the main deck level with a queen-sized bed; a walk-in closet and a large bathroom complete with a bathtub.

The comfortable salon has stereo and video facilities, as well as a comprehensive library, and there is a separate dining area and a dedicated photo room for underwater photographic equipment. A large sun deck offers both sunny and shaded areas for lounging, and the aft deck serves both as a pleasant place to see the sun down and as the staging area for our diving activities.
